This piece was written in a transitional period of my life. Like all of us, I have had a number of career, location and other life changes that have sometimes occurred suddenly, and that have initially felt very uncomfortable, yet have eventually become environments I’ve thrived in. This piece is built of several contrasting sections tied together with a recurring transition that gradually gets shorter as the music progresses.
